This Order Changes & Cancellations Policy applies to purchases made at laclavecreative.com.
Because many LaClave Creative items are made to order (print-on-demand), we begin processing quickly after purchase. Once an order is sent to our fulfillment partner for production, changes and cancellations become limited or impossible.
1) Order Stages (Why Timing Matters)
Orders generally move through these stages:
Before Production (still editable)
In Production / Sent to Production (limited changes)
Prepared for Shipping / Ready to Ship (changes usually not possible)
2) What You Can Change (Before Production)
If your order has not been sent to production yet, we may be able to help with requests such as:
Cancel the order
Update shipping details (name/address/phone if needed)
Change shipping method (if options are available)
Add or remove items (when feasible)
Best practice: Contact us immediately—made-to-order production can start fast.
3) What Happens After an Order Is Sent to Production
Once an order has been sent to production, your request becomes “best effort,” and outcomes depend on whether the fulfillment partner has already started work.
A) Design changes (not recommended)
After production starts, changing the design is not recommended because, depending on production systems, either the original or updated design may be produced.
B) Address changes (sometimes possible, not guaranteed)
We can attempt an address change, but it is not guaranteed—the order may already be prepared for shipment. Also, once sent to production, changing the address to a different country is not supported.
C) Shipping upgrades (sometimes possible, not guaranteed)
We can request a shipping upgrade where available, but it is not guaranteed if the order is already prepared for shipment. Additional costs may apply.
D) Cancellations (often not possible)
If the order is already in production, cancellation may be unavailable. Once production begins, it may not be possible to edit/remove items from the order.
4) Refunds When a Cancellation Is Not Possible
If we can cancel before production begins, we’ll issue a refund to your original payment method.
If cancellation is requested after the order is placed and processing has advanced, a full or partial refund may not be possible. Eligibility can depend on the stage of fulfillment and costs already incurred.
5) If Your Order Can’t Be Changed or Canceled
If your order is already in production or shipped and can’t be changed/canceled, the order will continue through fulfillment.
If there is an issue when it arrives (damage, defect, wrong item), please use our Returns / Refunds / Replacements Policy—that policy is designed for quick resolution of legitimate production/shipping problems.
6) How To Request a Change or Cancellation
Email us at support@laclavecreative.com as soon as possible with:
Subject: “Order Change Request — Order #[YOUR ORDER NUMBER]”
Your full name
Order number
The exact change you need (cancel / address update / shipping method)
The corrected address (if applicable)
We’ll confirm whether your order is still eligible for the requested change and what options are available.
