Marketing & Advertising Disclosures
Marketing & Advertising Disclosures - LaClave Creative
Effective Date: February 5, 2026
Last Updated: February 5, 2026
LaClave Creative (“we,” “us,” “our”) is committed to honest, clear communication. This disclosure explains how we handle marketing messages, promotions, reviews, and any relationships that may affect recommendations.
1) Our Promise: Clear and Conspicuous
When we make an offer, a claim, or share content that could influence a purchase decision, we aim to make important details:
Easy to notice
Easy to understand
Placed near the claim
Not hidden behind extra clicks
This is sometimes called “clear and conspicuous” disclosure.
2) Promotions, Discounts, and Sale Terms
When we run promotions, we may include details such as:
eligibility (which items qualify),
start/end dates,
limits (one per customer, while supplies last, etc.),
exclusions (gift cards, bundles, limited drops),
stacking rules (whether codes can be combined).
Unless we state otherwise:
discount codes cannot be applied retroactively to past orders,
promotions may end early if stated (example: “while supplies last”).
3) “Limited” or “Seasonal” Claims
If we describe an item as:
“limited,” “seasonal,” “limited-time,” or “small batch,”
we intend those terms to reflect real constraints (availability, a scheduled seasonal window, or a time-limited release). If we restock or re-release, we may update product pages accordingly.
4) Product Claims and Expectations
We describe products and materials accurately and avoid promises of guaranteed outcomes. For made-to-order products:
mockups are previews,
color and placement can vary slightly,
sizing can vary within normal tolerances.
(See our Product Representation Disclosure and Shipping/Returns policies for details.)
5) Reviews, Testimonials, and Customer Photos
We may display reviews, testimonials, or customer photos on our website, emails, or social platforms.
A) Authenticity
We do not knowingly publish fake reviews.
B) Typicality
A customer’s experience may not represent everyone’s experience. If we reference specific results or outcomes, we aim to provide the needed context so the impression is not misleading.
C) Permissions
If you submit a photo, review, or message to us, you may be granting permission for us to share it (consistent with our Terms). If you want content removed, contact us and we’ll review your request.
FTC guidance treats endorsements and reviews as advertising when used to promote products and requires honesty and disclosure of material connections.
6) Influencers, Affiliates, and Sponsored Content
Sometimes we may work with creators, partners, or affiliates.
A material connection means the person promoting a product received something that could affect what they say—examples:
payment,
free/discounted products,
affiliate commissions,
gifts or other perks.
When a material connection exists, we expect disclosures to be:
clear
close to the endorsement
easy to understand (examples: “Paid partnership,” “Ad,” “Sponsored,” “I earn a commission,” etc.)
We also disclose when we receive compensation or commissions from affiliate links.
FTC guidance requires disclosure of material connections in endorsements.
7) Social Media and “#ad” Style Disclosures
If a post is sponsored or includes affiliate links, we (or the partner) use clear labels such as:
Ad
Sponsored
Paid partnership
Affiliate link (I earn a commission)
We avoid vague disclosures that people can miss.
8) Email and Newsletter Disclosures
Our emails may include:
product announcements,
promotions,
educational content,
links to products or blog posts.
If an email includes affiliate links or sponsored content, we disclose that clearly in the email near the link(s).
9) Pricing Transparency
We aim to show prices clearly. Taxes and shipping may be calculated at checkout based on destination and product type.
10) AI Disclosure (When Relevant)
When AI is used as part of the design process, we disclose it using our standard label:
“Designed with AI, handcrafted with final edits.”
